This soft-spoken, country-twanged number shows off perfectly the honesty and the charm of Jason Daniello. "Work Out West" is at the same time straight-shooting and literary, poignantly fresh and achingly familiar. The sincerity with which Daniello tells this story is reminiscent of Hank Williams or Bob Dylan-both of whom, at their cores, were blues men.

Jason Daniello is a truly gifted musician and New Mexico native. His debut release, Recreation, is one of the most successful regional releases in recent history. Since then, Daniello has formed his power-trio, Jason and the Argonauts, and played regionally for several years. In fact, they play a monthly and wildly successful show at our very own Taos Inn. The earnest, unaffected charm that Jason brings to his records and to his music in general cannot be overstated.
